Who are us

Solaria is a small voluntary association dealing with immigrants and international co-operation. A small association whose aim is helping the poor of the world, supporting them in their introduction into our western society and promoting plans of growth in the Third World countries.

Our projects are mainly directed to African and Asiatic population, and this is from the experience gained in recent years, and the relations established in countries like the Philippines and Nigeria.

Biafra is an area of Nigeria where infant mortality has got the highest rate in the world: 45%. In this region, only one child out of five reaches the age of 5; here life expectancy is still 60 years of age..

Nowadays the Philippines, in spite of the apparent political changes, keep in a state of poverty and of necessity so that they need continuous charitable aids. In 2000 the infant mortality rate was 37.6 every a thousand liveborn infants. The surviving children will be part of the society destined to poverty. At the moment, the 60% of 75 millions of population is below the poverty threshold, and the process of globalisation has stressed the crisis..
